Boost Links Agent

Double the links to your high-value pages

The Boost Links agent works alongside your existing Popular or Related linking agents. It doubles the in-links to specific high-performing pages based on GSC data, perfect for pages ranking positions 4–15 that need a push.

Works with your existing linking agents

The Boost Links agent enhances your existing Popular Links or Related Links agents. It doesn't create its own link block; it adjusts how links are distributed within your existing blocks.

1

Start with a linking agent

You need an existing Related Links or Popular Links agent running on your site. The Boost Links agent modifies these; it can't work alone.

2

Enable the Boost Links agent

Turn on Boost Links in your linking agent settings. Select pages based on GSC ranking (positions 4–15 is the sweet spot).

3

Links are doubled

Boosted pages receive 2x the in-links they would normally get. The extra links appear naturally across your existing link blocks.

When to use Boost Links

Boost Links is powerful but should be used selectively. It's designed for a small set of high-value pages, not your entire catalog.

Use Boost Links when...

  • Pages are ranking positions 4-15 (close to page 1 or just off it)
  • Pages have high commercial value (revenue, conversions)
  • GSC shows good impressions but low CTR (need more authority)
  • You want to push a small set of pages (3-5% max)
  • Pages have been stuck at the same ranking for months

Don't use Boost Links when...

  • You want to boost your entire catalog (defeats the purpose)
  • Pages are ranking positions 1-3 (they're already winning)
  • Pages are ranking 50+ (need content improvement first)
  • You don't have an existing Related Links or Popular Links agent
  • More than 5% of pages would be boosted (looks spammy)

Keep it selective

Boost Links doubles links to specific pages. If applied too broadly, this can look unnatural to search engines. We recommend boosting no more than 3–5% of your indexed pages at any time.

How to enable Boost Links on an existing agent

If you already have a Related Links or Popular Links agent running, enabling Boost Links takes just a few clicks.

1

Open your existing linking agent

Go to your linking agents in the Similar AI dashboard and select the Related Links or Popular Links agent you want to enhance.

2

Navigate to the Boost Links section

In the agent settings, find the "Boost Links" toggle. This section only appears for Related Links and Popular Links agents.

3

Enable the agent

Toggle Boost Links on. You'll see options to configure which pages should receive boosted links.

4

Select pages to boost

Choose pages based on GSC position (we recommend 4-15), impressions, or revenue. You can also manually select specific pages.

5

Preview and publish

Review how the boosted links will be distributed. When satisfied, publish and the agent will start adding the additional links.

Why high-value boosting outperforms position-based boosting

Boosting links to pages ranking 4–15 delivered 8–23% traffic gains. Boosting links to pages with the highest revenue per session delivered 47%, roughly double the impact. Pages that convert visitors into revenue already have strong quality signals. When you amplify them with more internal links, Google rewards them with better rankings.

Frequently asked questions

Can I use the Boost Links agent without an existing linking agent?

No. The Boost Links agent enhances an existing Related Links or Popular Links agent. It adjusts how links are distributed within your existing link blocks. If you don't have a linking agent running, start by setting up the Related Links or Popular Links agent first.

How do I choose which pages to boost?

We recommend boosting pages that rank positions 4-15 in GSC. These pages are close enough to page 1 (or just off it) that additional internal links can push them higher. You can also filter by impressions (high impressions, low clicks) or revenue potential. Avoid boosting pages ranking 1-3 (they're already winning) or 50+ (they need content work first).

What percentage of pages should I boost?

We recommend boosting no more than 3-5% of your indexed pages. Boosting artificially doubles links to specific pages, which can look unnatural if overdone. Keep it selective and focus on your highest-value opportunities.

How quickly will I see results?

Internal link changes typically take 2-8 weeks to impact rankings, depending on how frequently Google crawls your site. Boosted pages often see increased Googlebot crawl activity within days, but ranking changes take longer to materialize.

Can I use Boost Links with both Related Links and Popular Links agents?

Yes. If you're running both a Related Links and a Popular Links agent on your site, you can enable Boost Links on one or both. Just be careful not to over-boost; if the same pages are boosted by multiple agents, they might receive too many links.

What's the difference between Boost Links and the Top Links agent?

The Top Links agent shows the same top pages on every page in a section. The Boost Links agent doesn't show the same links everywhere; it works within your existing Related Links or Popular Links blocks to double the appearance rate of specific pages. The links still vary by source page, but boosted pages appear more often.

Will Boost Links make my site look spammy?

Not if used correctly. It's very common for a search engine to find the same links on every page — that's what the top nav is. In a way, Boost Links is promoting some additional pages to what a search engine bot or an LLM bot would normally see in the top nav. This is very organic and something that's very common. But if you overuse it — boosting more than 5% of your pages — it will start to look strange. Keep it selective and the distribution stays natural.
